Derwent Honey Winter 24/25

Hello and welcome to our first Derwent Honey update from the apiary.

It maybe mid winter but signs of spring are popping up regularly now.

When visiting our apiaries to top up feed and treat for varroa we're starting to see the odd snowdrop poking through and that's a sign that the 2025 season is nearly upon us.

A quick check on our nucleus colonies 'nucs' (newer colonies with 2024 home reared queens) looks really positive with good weight and quite a lot of activity for sub zero temperatures. Nucs can be pre ordered for April/May collection on our website

All our nucs come in a new correx box with 6 frames of bees, brood and stores and a glowing reputation 😉
